Friendly helpful staff. Ideally located for trips into the New Forest. Lovely food in the restaurant.
Despite requested a quietly situated room, we were allocated a room on the second floor by a surprisingly busy road. Other guests mentioned they had rooms at the back of the hotel and road noise was therefore at a minimum.
Friendly staff, great location and spotless room.
Food was disappointing.
clean,friendly hotel plenty of parking.
Friendly staff and good service. The breakfast was amazing and the food we had for dinner one night was really enjoyable. Very clean spacious rooms with a lovely shower. Will stay here again.
We enjoyed our cooked breakfasts every morning, served by a very polite Italian waiter. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a lovely big bath. The location in the New Forest was great, even if it was on a fairly busy main road.
We had the cheapest room, so it was close to the fairly busy main road.
A comfortable hotel with a slightly old fashioned style, well located just off the M27/A31 yet already feeling part of the New Forest. Golf course attached. Very adequate breakfast, and all round attentive and helpful staff.
Nothing really. It suited our needs and expectations well.
We stayed in traditional room it was very big and comfortable
The room was a little cold during the day
lovely location. very friendly staff.
we were in a cosy twin in the attic. you needed to duck alot.
Friendly efficient staff in beautiful surroundings. Cuisine was superb and couldn't fault the room, we will return!
Location. Caring staff
First room offered was small and plain, but moved to much better one after complaining. Briscoes Restaurant no longer exists, so bar eating and menu indistinguishable. Food mediocre and expensive.
Lovely twin room (no doubles available!). Spotlessly clean, well decorated and very comfortable. Check-in was also very good.
Service in the Restaurant was slow, although the Restaurant was by no means full. We also had an issue with my partner's meal (it didn't arrive as per the menu details). I will say that the staff went out of their way to correct the error, but then had to be reminded that we were still awaiting a selection of vegetables.
The room was very comfortable. It was a good location from which to access the New Forest
The food was overpriced, although good quality
It was in a convenient locaton for travelling around the New Forest
The rooms were a little small, ok for a weekend break but too small if staying for a week. There was not much choice on the menu for vegetarians.
The room was very pleasant and the food we had was good
Well organised, good staff and service. Room had just been renovated, so fresh and clean. Large bath. Buffet breakfast generally well-cooked, although mini croissants cold.
Strong smell of paint in room and corridor.
