Perfect for a family weekend escape
We had a cozy little spot next to the window for lunch, the kids were entertained with board games while we enjoyed the food, which was excellent, I mean that pork belly, sheer perfection! Our dog was treated like royalty with a blanket and treats waiting in the room.
Yeah, this place wasn’t exactly a bargain, but it was worth it.

Good parking available. The superior room had a king-sized bed, a comfortable sofa, and a dressing table. Nice touch with the complimentary champagne on arrival.
Location is not exactly in the heart of things, felt distant from Lyndhurst with only one pub nearby across the road. The bathroom seemed dated, with vinyl flooring and some patchy paintwork. The openable window situation limited airflow on hot nights, making the room stuffy. The hotel sits alongside a busy road, so a quieter room might be necessary for those sensitive to noise.

great room but slow service
The room had ample space with a comfortable bed and stylish decor. Breakfast offered a variety of options which were generous in size.
Service during dinner was a bit slow.

Charming getaway with fab food
I had a lovely time! We grabbed lunch with drinks outside, and the vibe was super nice. The food was delicious and well-presented. The staff were really friendly. The only hiccup was a big spider in the bathroom—kinda spooky! But the cocktails were on point, and breakfast was a treat!

Exceptional dining experience with a cozy atmosphere
I had a wonderful stay in a Small Double Room, enjoying the high-quality food that was beautifully presented, particularly the pan-fried duck which was cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making me feel right at home. the breakfast service was a bit slow despite the pleasant staff. it was an enjoyable experience worth repeating!

We had a fantastic stay in the Deluxe Room, enjoying delicious meals right in the hotel's restaurant and a lovely cream tea on arrival. The wellness center was a real treat with relaxing facials and a peaceful garden area to unwind. If we had a wish, it would be for more variety in the tea selection, but overall, it was an amazing experience and we can't wait to come back! 😊

Just a perfect match for a short staycation in Lyndhurst with good value for price. The evening meal was excellent and the staff were really nice. Consider sticking with the Full English at breakfast for a safer choice.

Diving into The Bell's dining scene was a delight! The food was top-notch, especially those freshly made sandwiches that treated my taste buds to a feast. Plus, the friendly staff made my family feel right at home. Breakfast was a hit too!
Trickier bits included being put in a small classic room instead of the deluxe we booked—bit cramped for two. The service in the bar was a bit rushed. we felt like a bottle of fizz being popped open too soon.

The service was friendly and the dinner surpassed expectations, with fantastic portions and quality. the mattress sagged and the noise from the nearby kitchen disrupted my sleep, which detracted from the experience, making it a mixed stay overall.

pleasant stay with room for improvement
The Small Double Room provided a cozy and well-decorated ambiance, making us feel comfortable throughout our stay. We especially appreciated the stunning garden view, creating a serene atmosphere ideal for unwinding.
The room felt a bit cramped for space, limiting our ease of movement.

missingWrote a review on Jun 05rustic decorgarden settingnatural attractionspoor upkeep
Charming rustic decor creates a pleasant backdrop, complemented by an outdoor dining option in a garden setting. Convenient proximity to natural attractions allows for outdoor adventures without the need to drive far.
Checked in and found my room to be disappointing—nothing like the swanky photos online. The air conditioning noise from the kitchen made it tough to sleep, and it felt claustrophobic with windows half-painted. Breakfast had limited options—only a small apple dish, no fresh fruit or variety for different diets. Service at dinner was a mixed bag. first night, my order got lost, leaving me waiting far too long, then it was just mediocre when it finally arrived. Some communal areas hinted at cleanliness issues, showing signs of neglect—crockery in need of cleaning. it didn't meet the expectations I had from the marketing.
